Carolynn Doan has been a local professional artist for over 15 years, based in White Rock, BC. She started her career painting watercolours, and her investigative nature has expanded her portfolio to include pastels, acrylic and oils. However, she is best known for her watercolour and oil paintings.

Carolynn's background in biology is evident in the choices she makes when developing ideas for paintings. It was this background that taught her to ‘see.’ She learned to appreciate the force of nature and all of the mysteries that surround it, and her love of nature's diversity of colour, texture and value is inherent in her work.

Carolynn has won awards in several Canadian competitions. She holds the Active status with the Federation of Canadian Artists. Her work hangs in private and corporate collections in Canada, Great Britain, the U.S.A., and Japan.
