About the Artist
Carolynn Doan is a watercolour, oil and acrylic artist residing in South Surrey,
British Columbia, Canada, near Vancouver. Largely a self-taught artist, she has
developed a distinctive impressionistic style that is pleasing to admirers of
both realistic and impressionistic artforms.
Carolynn teaches classes in watercolour and oil for students of all levels of painting and is also a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (Active Status).
Carolynn recently won awards in a British Columbia juried art
exhibitions. She has works in private collections throughout Canada,
United States, Japan, and Europe.

This original watercolour
won one of 5 awards at
the Surrey Art Center
juried art exhibition in the
summer of 1999.
It was inspired by memories
of Carolynn's Prairie roots.
"Celebrating Harvest"
Award Winner
The original oil won Best Not In A Commercial Gallery in the
spring 2006 Euphorbia Juried Exhibition.
